Hybridizer Goal
There’s a moment in every growing season that stops me in my tracks—the moment I see a bloom that feels different. Not just beautiful… but meaningful. A flower that tells a story, reflects its lineage, and feels like it has something new to offer the daylily world.
Dooley Gardens introductions are from those moments. Each one begins with a spark of inspiration, a vision for what a bloom could be, and the joy of watching that dream unfold in the garden—often over years of growing, evaluating, and nurturing before a plant is ready to share with others.

2025 Daylily Introduction: Marie’s Laughter
Named in honor of my grandmother Marie who’s contagious laugh brings joy to every gathering, this daylily embodies her radiant spirit. The bloom features a blend of peach and lavender hues, accented by a prominent dark violet, rippled, pattern eye that extends onto both petals and sepals. The petals are further enhanced by a matching eye-colored outline, all converging into a vibrant green throat. This captivating flower is sure to be a standout addition to any garden. Marie is celebrating her 100th birthday May 2025!
